Fourth generation of the legendary SL, started with Gullwing, the present R129 version presents a timeless design that marked the 90's. With the long front, high-rims and a luxurious interior is a reference roadster, combining construction quality, comfort and safety. Produced from 1989 to 2001, the 1993 300 SL-24 model was replaced by the SL 320 with more torque, but noticeably the same power.

The here presented model is from the first production series, being exactly from the last year´s production (1993). It has a motorization of 2.968 cm3, It has a double overhead cam design with 4 valves per cylinder, producing 228hp (231PS), with a smooth behaviour at low revs and revealing all its strength at higher ones. Our car was originally sold in Germany and imported into Portugal in 2007. The car comes in a very elegant colour combination, Blue Black Metallic (199), light gray leather interiors (278) and soft black hood. Acquired in 2015, it was subjected to an extensive mechanical overhaul at the level of: Suspensions (new shock absorbers, replacement bearings, bushings and brake pads); air conditioning overhaul with new radiator; Replacement of all engine fluids, gearbox and other hydraulic systems; Tires, etc. It is in excellent condition and can be enjoyed in all its splendour just like a new car.
