The BMW 6 Series was manufactured from 1976 until 1989 and replaced the iconic BMW E9. It was the BMW model with the longest life revealing the innovative and timeless character of its design.

Designed by Paul Bracq, it presents markedly sporty lines but at the same time elegant and classic. It introduced innovative concepts at the time like the interior design focused on the driver, becoming a reference followed by many other manufacturers.

It is a large 4-seater coupé with a long and iconic tapered front usually referred to as “shark nose”.

From 1984 BMW Motorsport GmbH developed the M version using the legendary M88 engine (the same as the BMW M1), thus designating that version M635CSI (M6 for the USA and Japan). The engine develops 286hp making the M636CSI one of the fastest cars at the time.

Among other details, it received a reinforced 5-speed gearbox, sportier suspensions, revised chassis, more powerful braking system and progressive sensitive vehicle (not engine) speed power steering (very rare option only at the end of production). Additionally, the battery was repositioned at the rear to balance the weight distribution.

Our car was first sold in Spain having been imported into Portugal in the year 2000. The car is totally original, produced in December 1988 with the particularity of being the penultimate car produced in the most powerful European specification (not catalysed). As far as we know, the last car produced is in the BMW museum.

The exterior colour is DIAMANTSCHWARZ METALLIC (181) with “Nature” leather interiors. t is equipped with BBS RS 211 8 * 16 wheels, optional in the aftermarket and sold by the dealer.

As main extras it has air conditioning, sunroof and alarm system.

With only 97.000 km, it is matching numbers and certified by the BMW Classic, being totally original.

It has undergone a wide mechanical overhaul by RS Garage mark specialists in order to ensure correct and adequate maintenance for safely enjoy all the potential of this magnificent automobile. Interventions: main crankshaft and connecting rods bearings changed, all fluids change among many others.
